The Prairie du Chien Parks and Rec Department is warning of a post going around Facebook about an event at Hoffman Hall on August 12th and 13th. The city says they have no booking for these dates and have had no communication from the account posting about this event. The event advertises a “Community Market Fair Event” and gives the address of Hoffman Hall, and is asking that registration and a vendor fee be made online. If you have made contact with anyone about this event you are asked to call Aquatics & Recreation Manager Emily at 608-412-1250. The Prairie du Chien Police Department reminds the public that scams can be anywhere and for any amount of money and you should always be cautious with your money.
