The City of McGregor has been in talks with the CPKC Railroad to address the crossing issues that arose due to the rising of the tracks on the riverfront, as well as ongoing concerns related to trains blocking the crossings by Kwik Star for extended periods of time. CPKC has asked that anyone experiencing a wait of 10 minutes or more at this crossing should make an immediate report by calling (800)716-9132 to report this to a dispatcher. This will generate a log and once enough calls are made, corrective action must be taken according to federal regulations. The railroad has indicated that they will use this data to determine possible solutions. When phoning in a blocked crossing, you will need to provide the dispatcher the crossing number, which is 376-176A.
