Prairie du Chien Police Respond to Call of Shots Fired

Prairie du Chien Police responded to a call of shots-fired Tuesday night at the intersection of Cabela Lane and Cliffwood Drive. Officers arrived on scene and found ten 9mm shell casings in the roadway. They determined that a heavily intoxicated male was refused service at a local establishment. After leaving the business he got into the front passenger’s seat and while leaving the area, raised a handgun out of the window and fired multiple rounds into the air.

The man was identified as 41 year old David Judge IV of Prairie du Chien. He was later located in the same vehicle with a Sig Sauer 9mm handgun.

Judge was arrested and charges will be referred to the Crawford County District Attorney’s Office for: Disorderly Conduct, Operating a Firearm While Intoxicated, Endangering Safety by use of a Dangerous Weapon and Second Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety.

There were no reported injuries as a result of this incident.
