On 9-3-23, at approximately 12:15AM the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a suspicious male stumbling on Hwy 18 just outside of Clermont. Fayette County Deputies responded to the area and the male subject, Adam Robert Guenther, 39 of Elgin IA, was located. Through the investigation process, Guenther was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for public intoxication, a simple misdemeanor. Guenther was additionally charged with Bribery, a class D Felony for offering a large amount of money to Deputy to release him. Guenther was transported to Fayette County Jail, where he was held until initial appearance.
