Two Traffic Stops Lead to Arrests in Fayette County

On 9-22-23, at approximately 11:20 PM, a Fayette County Deputy initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of the 6th St. NW and N Frederick Avenue Oelwein IA.  After an investigation, Forrest Shane Bamford, 48 of Oelwein, was arrested and charged with Operating While Intoxicated, a serious misdemeanor.  Bamford was taken into custody and transported to Fayette County Jail, where he awaited initial appearance.

On 9-24-23, at approximately 3:30 AM, a Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputy initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of 210th St. and Highway 150, West Union IA.  After an investigation, Jonah Miah Moore, 20 of Postville, was arrested and charged with Operating While Intoxicated, a serious misdemeanor.  Moore was transported to Fayette County Jail, where he awaited initial appearance. Other individuals in the vehicle that were cited include; Trey Darnell, 21 of West Union Open Container, Passenger, Kole Johnson, 20 of West Union, Possession of alcohol as a minor, Grant Stolka, 20 of Wadena, Possession of Alcohol as a minor, and a Minor age 17 was referred to Juvenile Court for Possession of Alcohol as a minor.
