Prairie du Chien, WI –In celebration of Eye Donation Month Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien was recognized by the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin (LEBW) as a recipient of the 2023 Crystal Vision Award. This award is presented annually to hospitals demonstrating outstanding commitment and dedication to furthering the mission of giving the gift of sight, through organ and tissue donation.
In 2022, Crossing Rivers Health donors provided sight to an estimated six recipients in Wisconsin, the United States, and worldwide.
Since 2007, Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin has honored advocates of donation who have shown commitment and dedication to raising awareness and educating communities on the importance of eye donation.
LEBW honored 15 recipients from various categories this year – surgeons, hospitals, medical examiners, funeral homes, and community partners. The 2023 Crystal Vision Award recipients continue to demonstrate a commitment and passion by sharing the mission of healing lives through the gift of transplantation and the support of their community.
