Two Separate One-Vehicle Traffic Accidents in Crawford County

On Monday, December 4th, 2023, at approximately 3:45 p.m., the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a one-vehicle traffic crash on Buck Creek Road in the Township of Freeman. Raydenna Knutson (71) of Ferryville, was operating a sports utility vehicle westbound on Buck Creek Road. While negotiating a curve, she lost control, overcorrected, and crashed into a ditch. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and she escaped without injury.  Knutson was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Ferryville Fire Department, Ferryville First Responders, Ocooch Mountain Rescue, and Bob’s Towing Service.


On Friday, December 8
th, 2023, at approximately 6:40 a.m., the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a one-vehicle traffic crash on Limery Road in the Township of Prairie du Chien.
Adrick Nemec-Wagner (18) of Prairie du Chien, was operating a pickup truck eastbound on Limery Road. While negotiating a curve, he lost control, traveled off the roadway, and overturned. The road surface was slippery due to frost. The truck sustained moderate damage and he escaped without injury. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Prairie du Chien Police Department, Bridgeport Fire Department, Bridgeport First Responders, and Milo’s Towing Service.
