According to the Fennimore Police Department, shortly before 7:00 pm on Sunday, February 11th, dispatch was notified of an accident at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and 12th Street in the city of Fennimore.
An adult pedestrian was crossing 12th Street at Lincoln Avenue when he was struck by a southbound semi turning east onto 12th Street. The accident was immediately reported by a witness and the tractor trailer was located on HWY 18 in Fennimore’s industrial park.
The pedestrian died of injuries sustained during the accident. All parties involved have been identified.
FPD was assisted by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol, Grant County Coroner’s Office, Fennimore Fire Department and Rescue Squad, Fennimore Street Department and the Grant County Highway Department.
