Two Arrested for Possesion of Methamphetamine and Fentanyl in Grant County

On 3/26/24, at 3:05pm, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch on Wisconsin Valley Rd, in Marion
Township. Sheriff’s Deputies and K9 Vezer arrived on scene and investigated the incident. It was observed that Nicole Moe, age 41 of Boscobel, had
failed to negotiate a corner and went into the ditch due to excessive speed. Moe appeared to be under the influence of one or more drugs and field sobriety tests were done. Grant County K9 Vezer was deployed on Moe’s vehicle and another truck on scene that was being operated by Zachary Chappell, age 39 of Fennimore. K9 Vezer alerted on both vehicles and they were searched. A methamphetamine/fentanyl mixture was seized out of both vehicles. Chappell was placed under arrest for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Narcotic Drug, Operating while Revoked, Ignition Interlock Device Violation, and Bail Jumping. Moe was arrested for Operating with a Restricted Controlled Substance – 1st Offense, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of a Narcotic Drug. K9 Vezer has been deployed over 25 times this year so far with 22 charges filed as a result of the alerts during those deployments.
