Intermittent Closures on the Mississippi River Bridge at Lansing to Begin on June 17

If you drive on the Mississippi River Bridge at Lansing you need to be aware of upcoming construction work that may affect your trip.

Starting the week of June 17, weather permitting, crews will continue work on constructing a new pier and driving the pier foundation for the new bridge that will replace the current bridge.

Intermittent closures of up to two hours will happen on the existing bridge between the hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to reduce vibration from construction activity and traffic, limiting the chance of damage occurring.

Work on the new bridge is moving forward as expected. For more information on the construction of the new Mississippi River Bridge at Lansing, go to where you can sign up to receive updates directly to your inbox or check out our Facebook page
