A Glen Haven man is dead after his truck collided with a train Saturday afternoon. The Grant County Sheriff’s Department says the crash happened on Closing Dam Road in Cassville Township. 69 year old Lawrence Osterhaus was attempting to cross the rail road tracks in a pickup truck pulling a trailer, when a southbound Burlington Northern Santa Fe train struck the passenger side of the truck. Osterhaus was pronounced dead at the scene. No injuries to the train crew were reported.
