Two Men Charged Following Guttenberg Disturbance

The Clayton County Sheriff’s Department has released details on an incident that took place September 17th in Guttenberg. Officers responded to a disturbance at a marina involving a boater who was harassing people and blaring loud music. When Deputies arrived the man took off in his boat, turned his navigation lights off and went into the main channel of the Mississippi. A short time later, another boat also left the marina and turned off their lights as well. The second boat returned and the Deputies found the operator of the original boat hiding in the hull. The original boat operator was identified as 36 year Matthew Reicher (RY-KER) of Manchester, Iowa. He was charged with Eluding, Interference with Official Acts, and Public Intoxication. The operator of the second boat was identified as 26 year old Cole Stalzer of Marshalltown, Iowa, who was charged with Accessory After the Fact for harboring Reicher and lying about his where-abouts.
