The Crawford County Veteran’s Service Office has donated $1,000.00 to the Prairie du Chien Police Foundation. Each holiday season the foundation provides meals, winter clothing, toys and care items to families that the police department interacts with that are in need. The department utilizes partnerships built with the school district, area human services, churches and other non-profit organizations to help identify those families in need.
Officers will be set up in the Lori Knapp parking lot next Friday, December 2nd during the Chamber’s Annual Holiday Parade for their annual “Stuff the Squad” event where they will be collecting donations of non-perishable food items, new children’s winter clothing and toys.
