Clayton County Releases Details on Arrests

The Clayton County Sheriff’s Office has released details on three separate arrests. A Marquette man was arrested after deputies conducted a welfare check at a Garnavillo residence on January 23rd. 47 year old Cory Shaw was found in possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a fire arm as a convicted felon. Shaw was arrested and taken to the Clayton County Jail. The Prairie du Chien K9 Unit assisted in the arrest.

A Guttenberg man was arrested for marijuana possession after a traffic stop on January 26th. 46 year old Jason Herzog was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

And on February 3rd the Winneshiek County Sherriff’s Office reported stolen vehicle from the Ossian area. A Clayton County Deputy located the vehicle in Postville. The Deputy attempted a traffic stop, but a pursuit began and continued several miles into Fayette County. The driver, 27 year old Marie Colsch of Ossian, eventually stopped and was arrested for Felony Eluding, Driving While Suspended, and other traffic violations. Colsch also faces vehicle theft charges in Winneshiek County.
