On 12/01/2023 at approximately 11:26 PM, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one-vehicle rollover crash on Green River Road in the Mount Ida Township.
Kasey Walker, age 18, of Fennimore, Wisconsin was westbound on Green River Road, in his black, 2004, Ford F150 pickup truck. Walker’s truck began to swerve in the gravel road, before losing control and entering the shoulder. Walker’s truck left the roadway, struck a fence, traveled over a concrete culvert, and rolled. Walker’s truck rolled an undetermined amount of times before striking a tree, rolling again, and coming to a rest.
Walker was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle, sustaining severe injuries as a result of the crash. Walker was transported by Fennimore EMS to the Boscobel Area Health Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Fennimore Fire Department, Fennimore EMS, and Collision Specialists SSE of Fennimore. The crash remains under investigation.
This is the 5th fatal crash in Grant County in 2023.
