On 3/2/24 at approximately 11:00 pm, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash in the Village of Montfort.
Sheriff’s Deputies arrived and identified Tyde Benson, 23, of Darlington, as the driver who swerved, lost control of his 2021 Ram 3500 truck
and ran into the Grab-A-Cone building. Tyde was not injured during the crash.
The building sustained heavy structural damage as a result of the crash.
An investigation was done and Tyde was placed under arrest for Operating while Intoxicated – 1st Offense. Precision Auto, of Platteville,
assisted in removal of the vehicle.
